Terms of service

Last updated [DATE] · Applies to the Krimas app for iPhone and Android

THE SHORT VERSION

  • What you make is yours. We only store and deliver it.
  • Make calendars that are kind, legal and yours to share.
  • Once someone claims a calendar, it's locked and theirs to keep.

1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and [OPERATOR NAME] ("we", "us") for using the Krimas app. By making an account you agree to them and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. Who can use Krimas

You need to be at least [AGE], or have a parent or guardian's permission. You can have one account, and you're responsible for what happens under it.

3. Your account

Choose a username and a password nobody else knows. Usernames are unique and can't be changed; your display name can be. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into your account.

4. Making and sending calendars

You can have up to 3 calendars of your own at a time. Deleting one frees its place. We may change these limits, and some account types may have different ones.

Each calendar is sent with a share code. Whoever enters the code first claims it, so send codes only to the person they're for. Once a calendar is claimed it locks: you can preview it and see how many days have been opened, but you can't edit it.

5. Your content

What you put in a calendar stays yours. You give us permission to store it, process it (for example, to make thumbnails) and show it to the person who claims it, only as far as we need to run Krimas. That permission ends when nobody can see the calendar any more.

Only add photos, sounds and words you have the right to share, and be thoughtful about including other people who haven't agreed to it.

6. What's not allowed

Don't use Krimas to:

  • Break the law, or help anyone else do so.
  • Harass, threaten or deceive the person you send a calendar to.
  • Share sexual content involving anyone under 18, or anyone without their consent.
  • Post someone else's private information without their permission.
  • Upload anything you don't have the rights to.
  • Get around calendar limits, guess share codes, scrape the service, or interfere with how it runs.

7. Receiving a calendar

A calendar you receive was made by the person who sent it, not by us. If something in it worries you, remove it from your calendars and tell us through Help and feedback in the app.

8. Deleting and ending

You can delete any calendar, or your whole account, from inside the app at any time. What happens to each is set out in our privacy policy.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or could expose us to legal liability. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first.

9. The service

We work to keep Krimas running and your calendars safe, but we provide it "as is". We can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that every day will open at exactly the moment it unlocks. We may change, add or remove features.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content made by other users. Our total liability for any claim is limited to [AMOUNT]. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

11. Changes, law and contact

If we change these terms we'll update the date at the top and tell you in the app before a significant change takes effect. Continuing to use Krimas afterwards means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION].
